Joey Essex BANNED on Celebs Go Dating

The former TOWIE star is no stranger to the dating show

Joey Essex had previously starred on the first series of the show last year.

During the show, Joey had a few admirers but actually went against the concept of the show and fell for his co-star, Stephanie Pratt instead.

Now, Joey has revealed that he has been banned from dating his co-stars and it’s even written in his contract!

The show’s matchmakers Eden Blackman and Nadia Essex weren’t fans of the romance between Joey and Stephanie and they are making sure Joey doesn’t make the same mistake again this time round.

During an appearance on Loose Women, Joey revealed all about the new series.

He said: “It’s meant to be, well it is, celebs dating normal people… non-celebs, but I have been talking to a few of the celebs on the show at the same time.

“You’re not really meant to do that because it’s against the rules”.

He added: “They did actually write that in my contract, that I’m not allowed to date any other celebs”.

Guess there will be no chance in a romance with TOWIE co-star Ferne McCann then!

Other celebs that are joining Joey on the show are Kim Kardashian’s bestie Jonathan Cheban, singer Melody Thornton, Diversity star Perri Kiely and reality star Stephen Bear.

But, its been announced that Bear has been axed shortly after filming.

TV personality, Joey, hopes to find love on the new series.

Just a month after becoming an item on the show, Joey and Stephanie broke up blaming the “distance” between them as the reason.

Stepanie claimed she thought the pair were going to be “together forever” and said they even told each other they loved one another.

After announcing their split in November last year, Joey said: “That ship has sailed”.

Before adding: “I’m on the market, I’m back on the market now”.

Hopefully, the reality star can find love again!
