Jeremy McConnell reportedly turns up at the wrong court for appeal hearing

Blow for jailed CBB star

Jeremy McConnell may have to face the prospect of spending Christmas in prison after he reportedly turned up at the wrong court for his appeal hearing.

The Celebrity Big Brother star, 27, received an 18-week sentence last month for skipping his community service so that he could have a hair transplant in Turkey.

The model had already been issued with a suspended jail term after being found guilty of a “vicious” assault on his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis.

Having spent 15 nights of his sentence in a cell at HMP Cardiff, Jeremy is said to have turned up at the city’s Crown Court today in the hope of being let out early – only to be told that his hearing was in Liverpool.

According to the Daily Star, Jeremy bowed his head in a hooded top and was taken away by security guards.

He’ll now have to wait until December 15th for another hearing.

In August, the star was handed a suspended jail sentence, as well as 200 hours’ unpaid work, after being found guilty of assaulting his Celebrity Big Brother co-star Stephanie earlier this year.

However, after he breached his community order, District Judge Wendy Lloyd told him: “After trial, I convicted you of a vicious alcohol-fuelled attack on your partner and the mother of your child.

“She received a number of injuries and you also damaged her property.

“You showed no regard for your little baby, who was caught up in the violence.

“I was anxious to protect other women from your violence in future, so I gave you a suspended sentence with rehabilitation requirements.

“Your solicitor said it would be unjust to activate that sentence.

“However I find the reality is that your enthusiasm for cooperation has been short-lived, and there’s nothing to show in the future things will change.

“I sentence you to 18 weeks of imprisonment out of the original 20.”

Following the attack, Stephanie, 24, revealed that she’d suffered a miscarriage, and she took to social media to blame Jeremy.

In an emotional Instagram post, she wrote: “I lost my baby due to the stress Jeremy put me under, history repeating itself after carrying Caben alone for nine months while he goes out with women, partying and posting pictures on purpose when I was in hospital and nearly lost Caben on several occasions.”
