It had been an emotional day in court for the young mum of one who detailed the abuse at the hands of the man she had met in Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.

Appearing in Liverpool Magistrates Court today, the 24-year-old actress told the court that she and Jeremy had had a vicious fall out over a sex toy.

She said that he had accused her of having used the said item with other girls (yes, plural) during a lesbian affair.

She then claimed that the father of her child attacked her and got her in a headlock as he demanded to know the truth.

He then left the house before returning shortly afterwards when he tried to kick the door in.

“I heard him go over the gate and I thought ‘this is like a horror film’.” she told the courtroom.

“He was booting my glass doors with his foot and I thought the glass was going to shatter.”

She added: “I thought, ‘This is it, he’s going to kill me.'”

According to the Mirror, Jeremy had had a “psychotic episode” during which he called her “fat” and grabbed her by the face.

She explained his fury was fuelled by the belief that she was having an affair with a pregnant pal as well as having a relationship with a fireman who lived nearby.

At one point he even started to search the house looking for the man in question.

Steph also told the court that she and Jeremy had reunited back in January after months apart and she had given him a second chance, but went on to explain that she had been forced to lie about marks on her body that were the result of a physical fight.

During her account, Jeremy muttered “lies” and she turned on him and said, “Jeremy can you stop talking over me when I’m trying to talk.”

The tension between the pair of them became so intense that at one point the court was forced to take a break as Steph hurled abuse at McConnell saying he had completely destroyed her life.

He reportedly laughed at her.

When the court gathered again, Jeremy, who had originally pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage but had denied assault by beating, admitted to snorting a bag of cocaine with plans and had downed three double vodkas and diet coke.

He said that when he had seen her he had tried to apologise to her for his behaviour but she ignored his pleas and continued to kick and scream at him.

Steph’s mum Pauline told the court she was horrified by what 6ft2 Jeremy had done to her tiny daughter.

She alleged that during the argument he was “obviously on drugs” because he had blood shot eyes and was sweating profusely.

When she rushed to her daughter’s side, she said Jeremy calmed down and started to apologise for what he had done.

“He said how he had messed up and he was just sort of like aggressive,” she recalled.

“He was grabbing Stephanie saying sorry, sorry it won’t happen again.”

Se also admitted there was a time she found a packet of drugs at Stephs’s house but had been too scared to call the police because “I was scared of Jeremy”.

Jeremy will now await his sentence.
