I’m A Celeb’s most unlikely bromance EVER

Who would have thought these two would hit it off?

I’m A Celebrity is known for throwing an eclectic mix of contestants into the jungle, but never in our wildest dreams would we have thought Amir Khan and Stanley Johnson were going to become best buddies!

The pair have bonded over the last week, despite the fact that on paper, Boris Johnson’s dad and an Olympic boxer from Bolton have literally nothing in common.

But it appears that sitting around a campfire in the middle of the Australian jungle can form unlikely friendships.

Amir even took to the Bush Telegraph in last night’s show to share his feelings for his new friend… “The pairing between me and Stanley is something that no one would ever expect.

“He makes me laugh and I make him laugh. We connect quite well.”

And it seems the feeling is quite mutual… “You have bought many blessings to the team,” said Stanley to Amir. “I don’t feel like I’ve done enough.”

But Amir was quick to reassure his new friend. “You have done more than enough. We need people like you in the camp because you keep us all smiling. Sometimes we feel down and we come and chat with you and feel motivated again.”

Stanley was thrilled that Amir thought so highly of him… “That’s the nicest thing someone has said to me in a long time. That’s very nice of you.”

“I’ll always be here for you, you know that,” responded Amir. Ahh, bless them.

And the unlikely bond hasn’t gone unnoticed by the other campers, either. Becky Vardy also headed to the Bush Telegraph to chat about the new bromance… “Amir and Stanley’s friendship is so sweet. They’re like an old married couple.”

In fact, Stanley is so taken with his new buddy that he even penned a poem for him! While everyone sat around the campfire, he decided to read it out…

“My name is Amir Khan, I was once world weight champ, I grew up in Bolton, but now I’m in a camp somewhere in Eastern Australia. I’m teaching my flatmates to box, failure is not an option, boom boom boom, boom boom boom, see, just look at me.” Riiiggghhht!

While Stanley’s poem left the rest of the camp slightly bemused, it was Dennie Wise who suggested the pair had be beginnings of a bromance going on.

Stanley wasn’t sure what exactly a bromance was and the term had to be explained, but Dennis continued, “Me and Jamie feel a little bit left out, you haven’t made a song about us,” he quipped.

Viewers are loving the unlikely friendship – social media went wild as fans chatted about the new camp bromance…

Could Stanley and Amir’s friendship just be a holiday bromance – the real test would be to see if it stands the test of time in the outside world.
