Jorgie Porter jokes about booking wedding singer after Celebs Go Dating

Well, this is an unexpected development!

| Updated:

She tried to find love on Celebs Go Dating but revealed in September she was still single because of her hectic schedule.

So fans of former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Jorgie Porter were rather surprised when she tweeted about booking a singer for her wedding.

And not just any singer: a famous one!

Jorgie, 29, spent Tuesday night watching her old Hollyoaks co-star Carley Stenson, 35, performing as Fantine in Les Miserables in London’s West End.

Clearly impressed with her pal’s talent, a blown away Jorgie tweeted afterwards: “Incredible Carley Stenson tonight in Les Miserables!!!!

“She’s the most amazing singer in my life!! Booked for my wedding.”

Er, back up a minute, Jorgie, wedding?!

Fans were quick to ask Jorgie if she had some big news to share… while others joked they felt heartbroken at the fact Jorgie was off the market.

Even Carley herself got in on the action, replying to Jorgie: “I charge Elton prices tho babe haha.”

Clearly Jorgie’s tweet about a wedding wasn’t actually serious, though, more just a way of expressing how good Carley really was!

Jorgie – who played Theresa McQueen in Hollyoaks – told The Sun in September she had been enjoying dates with different guys but was currently single.

She said some men found it hard to be with her as she’s always jetting between the UK and the US, where she’s been doing acting lessons.

“Because I’m across two countries is one of the reasons why I didn’t carry on dating one of the guys,” she said.

“He was in England forever and that’s what he wanted to do so it’s hard to find a guy that just wants to do what I want to do.”

Jorgie, who signed up for E4’s Celebs Go Dating but didn’t find anyone she clicked with, split from her rugby player boyfriend Luther Burrell last year following a four-month relationship.

She told The Sun afterwards she was “not happy” to be single but refusing to wallow.

“I’m not looking for love because I think when you fall in love, it hits you out of nowhere – POW – like a lightning bolt,” she said.

“I’d love to meet a real man’s man, you know, a man who likes to get dirty, doesn’t pout, and takes less time than me in the shower.”

Men, form an orderly line…
