Holly Willoughby divides fans with latest Instagram post

She posed a question and her fans answered

Holly Willoughby’s latest Instagram snap has left her fans divided as she asked them whether it was too soon to think about Christmas.

The This Morning presenter posted a picture of a mince pie and her ‘Holly’ Christmas mug, and said: “So this just happened… too soon?”

Some of her fans went wild for the snap, insisting it was “Never too soon!”

Someone else said: “Well I just made a Yule log so I think we’re pretty on par.”

“Never too soon for a mince pie, although my hubby disagrees, I gave in about a week ago,” said a third.

“Yaaaaaaasssssss!! No one needs Halloween! Skip to Christmas!” added another.

But some were equally as adamant it was far too early to be enjoying the festive treat.

“Nooooo it’s 3 months away yet!” said one comment.

Another added: “Yes! We’ve not even had Hallowe’en or Bonfire Night yet! #humbug.”

“The fact you asked tells you it most definitely is,” said someone else.

While a fourth replied: “Way too soon you nutter!”

It’s not the first time Holly has been involved in a debate about Christmas. Just last month, Martin Lewis was on This Morning alongside Holly and her co-host Phillip Schofield, presenting a segment about the season to be jolly.

Except in this instance it was more a case of Bah, humbug!

For many fans of the show with the set up of Christmas tree, fake snow, and presents, it was all just a bit too much.

Even Martin himself knew he’d be set to face a backlash.

“Can I start with a semi-apology for using the ‘C’ word at this time of year,” he said.

“I hate the early creep of Christmas just as much as the next Scrooge, and I hate the idea we’re going to have Jingle Bells in the shops soon.

“But everything I want to talk about today is about things you need to do now in order to take some of the pain and stress and financial burden off when we get to the big day.

“This isn’t about celebrating early, this is about early planning.”

He went on to encourage people to save throughout the year as the average family spend £800 at Christmas.

Giving tips on exactly how to save that kind of cash, including switching bank accounts for payment, Martin was in his element.

Unfortunately, viewers weren’t so keen on hearing his tips so early in the year.

But there were a few who are already excited about Christmas.

They loved the fact the show was talking about it and said it was making them feel “festive”.
