Cheryl and Liam face deadline to register son’s name, fans speculate it’s Taylor

We do know Daddy is a fan of the moniker

| Updated:

Last week we reported that new parents Cheryl and Liam didn’t have long left to register their son’s name.

According to the law in England and Wales, all babies must be registered within 42 days of birth, meaning the showbiz couple have until this Wednesday!

As the pop stars aren’t married, it is crucial that Liam returns to the UK to sign the birth register with his girlfriend, otherwise he won’t be on the birth certificate!

Well, it can be altered, to be fair. The UK Gov website states: “It might be possible to add the father’s details at a later date by completing an application for the re-registration of a child’s birth.”

But anyway, now fans are speculating that Liam, 23, and Cheryl, 33, have already confirmed their son’s name – after a listing appeared online.

The website Famousbirthdays.com has posted an entry for the relative of a celebrity. The name is Payne… the birth date matches the couple’s baby’s…

And the first name is Taylor!

Now, this site could just have taken an educated guess, crafted from something Liam said in an interview five years ago.

Talking about his future life as a father, he revealed his top choice for a name:

“I like the name Taylor.

“Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That’s what I’m going to call my first child if I had children.”

Is that it, then? Fans were quick to get excited and share the information.

We’re not so sure, though.

‘Taylor’ doesn’t feature in the top names people have been betting.

According to William Hill last week, the top three baby names are Alfie, Harry and Rickie.

We’re sure Chez and Liam will release their son’s name all in good time… on his 18th birthday, perhaps.

(Well, just look at how long it took them to confirm they were expecting – EXACKERLY!)
