The model took a DNA test and promised to step up earlier this week

Reality TV star Jeremy McConnell’s live interview on This Morning had many people backtracking over his bad-boy reputation.

Initially, the Irish model had uploaded a clip from his interview to his social media account, but after receiving a barrage of negative comments, he began deleting them before deleting the post altogether.

Does this mean he’s given up already?

He undertook a paternity test live during his appearance on This Morning to find out once and for all if he is the father to ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis’ new born baby boy.

After the interview, Jeremy went online and uploaded a clip to his Facebook page, before being bombarded with negative comments from fans and viewers.

One person commented: “It’s all well and good being emotional now, but where was he the night Caben was Born? Chilling with the lads, drinking and sending out very sly digs to Steph over social media [sic].”

Whilst another said: “Said he would of been at the birthday….was in Thailand getting smashed ! Dad of the year”.

Jeremy’s DNA test caused mixed opinions when it aired on Wednesday.

Fans slammed This Morning for doing the test, calling it “tacky” and “appalling”.

And Jeremy’s ex Steph wasn’t too impressed either!

Within an hour of Jeremy giving his view on the situation, Steph released a statement where she said she was “humiliated”.

“Stephanie has felt humiliated by Jeremy denying his own son and foolishly announcing publicly his request for a DNA test. Jeremy has caused Stephanie massive amounts of stress, pressure and upset throughout her pregnancy, ruining what for most women is one of the most special time of their lives.”

The 23-year-old added: “Jeremy has at no point throughout the pregnancy or after the birth been in contact directly with Stephanie. Jeremy was categorically not banned from the birth, not did he ever ask to attend.

“Stephanie confirmed to Jeremy that she was pregnant 10 days after they split, any suggestion that she was unfaithful to him is to detract away from his numerous infidelities whilst in the relationship.”

Stephanie and Jeremy dated on and off last year after meeting in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The former Hollyoaks actress gave birth to her little tot, Caben-Albi in January.

Jeremy stated during his interview, that he wants to be a father to Caben and “step up” to his responsibilities.

Fans have claimed that Caben is the “spitting image” of Jeremy and blasted the alleged father for not stepping up, saying he needed to “man up”.

Hopefully, the pair can put aside their differences and be there for little Caben-Albi.
