Gigi Hadid ‘tells “immature” Perrie Edwards to get over Zayn’

It's battle of the blondes...

| Updated:

It looks like Gigi Hadid has had enough of all the talk behind her back.

The supermodel has reportedly told her boyfriend Zayn Malik’s ex-fiancé Perrie Edwards to ‘get over’ their split.

Uh, we thought she was?!

According to Hollywood Life, the 21-year-old leggy blonde has issued the plea after Little Mix released their single Shout Out To My Ex which contains the following lyrics:

“Heard he been f*****g some model chick/ Yeah that sh*t hurt I’ll admit/ But f**k that boy I’m over it. Heard he in love with some other chick/ Yeah yeah, that hurt me, I’ll admit.”

Yikes!

Apparently, the former One Direction hottie split from Perrie via text message leading to all of these alleged jibes, which Gigi has felt she needed to respond to.

The source told the website: “He’s been down-playing it to Gigi, and telling her not to give it any energy or thought, and that it just comes from a place of jealousy.

“Gigi wishes Perrie would just move on and leave her and Zayn alone. She thinks the song and the lyrics are immature.”

Well, we kinda like the song.

Talking about the explicit lyrics, Perrie told News AU: “We had to make it clean. We didn’t want to have the parental advisory sticker on our albums and singles.

“Even though our fans are our age, 20 or over 18, we still have a lot of young fans. But it does feel good to swear, doesn’t it?”

Zayn and Perrie split in August 2015 after four years together, and both have VERY different opinions on what actually happened when they broke up.

Zayn told Fader magazine: “I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message.

“I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that. She knows that, I know that, and the public should know that as well. I don’t want to explain why or what I did.”

Perrie, however, wrote in Little Mix’s book, Our World: “It was horrible, the worst time of my life. A four-year long relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message.

“Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”

Perrie, 23, claimed that she would never go into full detail about her split from the Pillowtalk singer because it was “too personal”.

She said: “For a normal girl to go through something like that it’s hard. I think when the whole world is looking at it and talking about it, you feel a bit (affected by it).

“Obviously I didn’t say too much about it, I briefly mentioned it. I wasn’t going to not mention it … You’re in control at the end of the day and I briefly mentioned it, kind of said what happened but I would never go into detail because it is personal.”

So who do we believe?!
