Geordie Shore stars Gary Beadle, Chloe Ferry and Scotty T were left shaken after narrowly escaping an avalanche in the French ski resort of Tignes last month.

The reality stars were skiing at the resort while filming a brand new series of the reality show, but managed to wrap everything up just hours before the incident happened.

Four snowboarders were killed in the terrifying tragedy.

During filming the cast members are not allowed any mobile phones or newspapers so were completely unaware of the avalanche until they arrived home.

Newbie member Sam Bentham told The Sun: “There was an avalanche literally where we went skiing in Tignes in the Alps.

“There was an avalanche the day after where we stayed. Four people died.”

He added: “We aren’t allowed phones or newspapers during filming, so we didn’t know until we got back.”

Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison also had a close shave after she was holidaying in the French Alps when the avalanche hit.

The star was enjoying some well-deserved time off and luckily managed to avoid the drama, as a representative revealed: “Vicky is away skiing with friends in Tignes, she is safe and well and not affected by the avalanche.”

The new series of Geordie Shore will be back on our screens on March 28.

Joining returning cast members Gaz Beadle, Aaron Chambers, Chloe Ferry, Marnie Simpson will be eight new faces.
