Gary Barlow has said he finds it “strange” that he’s dad to an 18-year-old.
On Thursday, the former Take That singer marked the huge milestone with his eldest child, son Daniel.
Gary, 47, took to Instagram on Friday to share a picture of himself cuddling into his son’s chest as Daniel wrapped his arms around his dad.

Gary wrote: “It feels strange to have an 18-year-old. It seems like yesterday we welcomed him into the World and now look!! My big friendly giant. #kids.”
Fans couldn’t get enough of the adorable snap and gushed about Gary and Daniel’s relationship.
One person said: “This picture is so funny and cute at the same time,” while another gushed: “The best thing about this picture is that, although he’s now 18 and taller, you still give him a huge hug!”
A third fan wrote: “This is the cutest. @officialgarybarlow you big softie.”
Gary also took to his Instagram stories to share a photo of an illustration of Gazza hugging Daniel.
The picture sees a speech bubble pointing towards Gary, which said: “My boy has grown up, he’s 18!!! I love you, Daniel.”
Meanwhile, a thought bubble is drew alongside Daniel which said: “Ugh.”
It comes after Daniel celebrated his 18th birthday yesterday.
As well as marking his birthday, Daniel also collected his A-Level results which he passed with flying colours.
Sharing his pride, Gary congratulated his son on his incredible results.
Alongside a snap of himself and Daniel smiling for the camera, Gary wrote: “Congratulations Dan, not only a Mile Stone Birthday but A – A – B in your As.”
He also wished Daniel a happy birthday, writing: “Happy Birthday Daniel Barlow ! 18 years old today ! We’re so proud of you. Love Mum and Dad.”
One person told Gary: “Wow he’s the spit of you!! Well done Dan,” while another added: “Congratulations Dan and enjoy your special day.”
A third praised dad-of-three Gary and his wife Dawn, saying: “Well done Gary & Dawn for raising grounded, hard working children!”

The singer – who is also a dad to daughters Emily, 16, and Daisy, nine, – also shared a photo of himself and Dan doing a spot of yoga.
Gary said: “Not only an amazing son but also my mate and my training partner.”
