Gadget Show star Ortis Deley fuming as coffee shop serves mouldy food to his TODDLER

The pitta was far from perfect

Ortis Deley may be an expert in gadgets, not food. But you don’t need to be a professional chef to spot when your meal is covered in MOULD.

The Gadget Show host was furious when his wife was served a tray of pitta bread with crudités, for their toddler daughter.

They quickly discovered that the bread was riddled with mould – and not just a few specks.

Ortis took to Twitter to vent his rage at the disgusting meal, which he of course couldn’t give to his 18-month-old daughter.

The image shows a paltry amount of cucumber, and some carrot sticks served with a side of hummus.

But Ortis’ anger stemmed from the fact that the bread was covered in splodges of mould.

The café – Pistachios in the Park, in Reigate, Surry – at first appeared to try and talk their way out of trouble, which Ortis immediately shut down.

The coffee shop asked: “I would like to question was it from our cafe? Who would cut out/serve it up without noticing?”

Ortis immediately fired back with: “Are you suggesting the serving was faked by my wife?”

Ortis’ followers were disgusted by the meal, with some suggesting the shop should even be closed down.

However, the café’s partner, Gabriella Adolphy, did then promptly and professionally review the incident, posting a statement on Facebook which said: “We are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the post.

“We have spoken to the employee responsible who joined our team on Friday and have terminated his position with immediate effect.”

Glad to see it’s been resolved – and hope Ortis and his family got a lovely free meal as compensation…
