Jennifer Metcalfe shares adorable pics of baby boy

Mum and son look so content!

| Updated:

We’ve been spoilt rotten over the past couple of weeks, with numerous pictures of celebrities’ babies popping up on social media.

Well, prepare to say “Awww” all over again, as another showbiz mum has uploaded some cute snaps of her new(ish) arrival.

Former Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe, 35, and her partner, one-time Geordie Shore star Greg Lake, 32, welcomed their first son, Daye, to the world back in June.

And Jen showed how much she’s loving parenthood by sharing a couple of adorable shots of mother and son on Instagram.

In the first one, little Daye is fast asleep and snuggled up to the Yorkshire-born actress’s breast.

Jennifer, who played Mercedes McQueen in the E4 soap, has captioned the shot: “Think someone’s getting clingy.”

The little lad had woken up by the time the second photo was taken, but still looks perfectly content as he cuddles up to his mummy.

And he clearly wasn’t the only one who was enjoying the moment, with Jen adding the words: “My happy place.”

As you might expect, the intimate snaps made the star’s followers go all gooey. One wrote: “Gorgeous photo of you both. Mummy cuddles are the best xx.”

Another added: “Beautiful mumma with a beautiful baba…”

And a third opined: “This is the cutest!”

This isn’t the first time Jennifer has shared pictures of her baby on social media.

Indeed, earlier this week she uploaded a photo of herself doing some stretches in an exercise studio while peering longingly into Daye’s eyes.

Alongside the snap, she quipped: “This is how I (we) work out these days.”

But the actress has previously stated that she’s not in any hurry to regain the figure she had before giving birth.

Just after Daye was born, she posted a pic on Instagram that showed her sitting cross-legged in her bra and pants.

She wrote: “These boobs are more than OK. I fed a human with them, they are awesome! Where my flat tummy turned bump once was, I now have a squishy bit of comfort for both my boys!” [We presume the other boy is Greg!]

And Jen, who competed on Dancing On Ice in 2011, later explained her comments in an interview.

She told The Sun: “That was to say we don’t all look perfect. You can look perfect if you want all the filters, but this is the reality, too.

“I can’t be bothered with a filter. I just took a photo and then started thinking of these words.”
