Former 'DWTS' Champ Makes Surprising Career Decision

They're in it to win it.

It wasn't too long ago that Rashad Jennings stunned the world by leaving Dancing With the Stars with the Mirrorball trophy in hand.

The former NFL running back dominated the competition, beating Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei and former MLB catcher David Ross to win it all.

While Jennings officially announced his retirement on Dec. 8, 2017, it seems that he's using his free time to put more focus on his newly formed passion for dance.

According to TMZ, the 32-year-old is looking to bust a move pretty soon.

"I have not put up my shoes yet in the ballroom," Jennings said. "I'm actually gonna enter into a competition in March."

The DWTS champ recently made a triumphant return to the reality series, dancing alongside former partner Emma Slater and Drew Scott for a trio cha-cha-cha during season 25.

He is one of four NFL players who've competed on the show and won.

Snapchat footage obtained by TMZ show Jennings teaching a few dance classes at Hackensack UMC Fitness & Wellness in Maywood, NJ.

He appears enthused, showing off his skills to several relatively packed out studios.

Although Jennings seemed certain he'll continue with the art, fans are conflicted if he'll truly be able to make something out of dance.

"He did not start pro dance as a kid, he only knows what he has been taught," one person commented. "The real professionals started very young and competed for champion. I am sorry just watched that video, not the way a pro dances, more for the average dancer."

On the other hand, someone expressing more support said they hope what Jennings is doing "will inspire a lot of people to recreate themselves once one stage of their life is over."

With season 26 of DWTS set to be an all-athlete season, we'll have to see if another NFL player can come out on top by competition's end.
