Emma Willis to host Simon Cowell’s new ITV music show

The presenter believes the show will leave viewers very emotional

Despite hosting many primetime TV shows, including Celebrity Big Brother and The Voice, AND being a doting mum-of-three, Emma Willis has bagged yet another TV role as she’s set to host ITV’s brand new music show – Your Song.

The hour-long special will see ordinary people who have done extraordinary things receive a special performance from their favourite artists.

Emma, 41, revealed viewers can expect many “tears, hugs and happiness” on the show.

The new show was created by Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Thames so it’s obviously going to be a huge hit and with Emma fronting things it’s going to definitely rake in fans.

Your Song will air on our screens later this autumn and will make a change from Simon’s usual talent shows BGT and The X Factor.

Instead the show will simply celebrate those who have done something incredible.

Speaking of her new role Emma, who’s married to Busted’s Matt Willis, said: “This is such an amazing show to be part of… imagine seeing somebody you love, and who is so deserving being surprised with the performance of a lifetime by their musical hero!

“I think there’ll be plenty of tears, hugs and happiness!”

Richard Holloway, Thames managing director, said: “We’re very excited to be making Your Song for ITV.

“It’s a really warm, heartfelt show celebrating the lives of real people and rewarding them with the performance of a lifetime from one of the music industry’s biggest stars.”

Meanwhile Nigel Hall, Global Head of Television for Syco Entertainment, added: “Your Song is an extremely exciting project that we have been developing for some time. We are now delighted it is coming to fruition.

“And we are sure it will bring surprise, entertainment and emotion to everyone at home.

“We all have that special song which means the world to us – and it will be really exciting to see superstars perform them for their biggest fans.”

We’re stocking up on tissues already!

But before starting the show Emma will be wrapping up this year’s series of Celebrity Big Brother this Friday (August 25).

Despite only having five days left of the drama-filled series CBB bosses will be squeezing in a few more surprises for the remaining housemates.

There will be an ordinary eviction on Tuesday night which will see two famous faces booted from the house.

But it’s been said that Big Brother will be dropping a shock backdoor eviction on Wednesday too – which housemates are completely unaware of.

Missing out on the glitzy grand departure from the house the evicted housemate will apparently be leaving through the backdoor.

Following brutal nominations last night Sandi Bogle, Sam Thompson, Helen Lederer, Sarah Harding, Chad Johnson and Jemma Lucy will all face the public vote.

And some housemates took the nominations harder than others.

Former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding was left in tears after realising that seven of her fellow housemates had put her up for eviction.

The only person who did not nominate her was her love interest US reality star Chad.

Last night Sarah told Chad: “There’s nine of us left, right?

“Seven people nominated me, which means everyone but you nominated me.”

The tearful singer, 35, then hugged Johnson, saying: “It doesn’t make sense.”

“I just feel so [expletive] deceived,” she added.

“Everyone just assumes I have a fan base looking out for me and they have their own agenda.

“It’s not just one or two. This is seven. This is everyone but you.”

Channel 5 continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
