Emma Willis reveals she’s supporting husband Matt as he takes a break from work to study acting

She's such a supportive wife

Big Brother presenter, Emma Willis has opened up about being the sole earner in her household – while her husband, singer, Matt Willis, turns his hand to acting.

Speaking in this month’s Cosmopolitan magazine, Emma, 41, explained that Matt is currently taking drama lessons in a bid to achieve his acting dreams.

Emma said: “Matt and I have always had phases where we support each other. At the moment [Matt’s band] Busted are taking a break and he’s focusing on doing acting classes, so he’s not earning.

“We have savings and I’m working, so it works. I say, ‘Go to your acting class and get really [bleeping] good, because one day I won’t have a job and you’re going to have to support me!’

“That’s marriage and a relationship.

“I want him to do what makes him happy, and if that means studying for a little while, then great.”

The Celebrity Big Brother host and Matt, 34, have been together since 2005. They married in Northamptonshire, back in July 2008 and have three children, daughter Isabelle, seven, son Ace, five, and baby girl Trixie, one.

Emma says their current situation is a reversal of fortune for the pair, as her then-boyfriend supported her early on in her presenting career.

She explained: “In 2005, not long after I met Matt, MTV decided not to renew my contract. It meant that I didn’t have a job or any money. We lived together and he supported me because I had nothing.”

These days, of course, she’s one of the most in-demand television presenters in the UK, juggling hosting duties on Big Brother and its Celebrity spinoff with The Voice.

Emma and Matt continue to defy all known celebrity logic, by still being in love after nearly 13 years.

Aww

But that doesn’t mean they’ll be adding to their brood any time soon. Emma recently ruled out having anymore children, telling The Sun: “That’s it! 100 per cent. I will be keeping Matt away from me now – I don’t need any more work!”

Emma’s full interview is in the new issue of Cosmo, out tomorrow.
