So after all the hype, Lee Ryan from Blue finally made his debut on EastEnders.

And good news for the gobby singer, fans reactions to his performance were a lot more positive than the reactions to Sarah Harding’s turn on Corrie.

In case you missed last night’s episode, Lee roared into Albert Square astride a motorbike as Woody.

But no sooner had he stepped into the Queen Vic as the new bar manager and the Carter family clapped eyes on him, feathers were ruffled.

That’s probably got something to do with the fact that while the family were paying their last respects to Sylvie, he was busy changing stuff around at the pub.

The bloomin’ cheek!

Unsure of what was occurring and taking an instant dislike to the handsome newcomer the Carter family demanded that he GET OUT OF THEIR PUB.

But as the family started to bicker, disaster struck – as it does in Albert Square –  when the kitchen roof – which had been threatening to collapse for weeks – finally gave way and wrecked the kitchen, trapping family pet Lady Di.

While the Carter family might not have been pleased to see Woody, sofa surfers were beyond happy.

One fan gushed:  “We are all very proud of him… Your such a wonderful guy @OfficialLeeRyan such a Talented singer and a loving hard working cheeky guy #WeLoveYouLee proud fan…”

“Welcome to walford !!! Lol great to see ya on the square…” another squealed.

Another wrote: “Lee Ryan coming into eastenders has just made me want to watch it more…” another devotee wrote.

Meanwhile, another fan couldn’t believe her eyes: “Christ Lee Ryan making his debut in Eastenders has made my bloody week…

Although his character of Woody is so far due to stay in the show for a limited period, Lee previously promised that viewers will enjoy him ruffling feathers and breaking hearts, adding: “Woody is the best role I could have wished to play.”

“He’s a brilliant character and it’s clear he’s been leading a full and colourful life.

“I can’t wait for people to see what he’s like for themselves.

“Everyone at EastEnders has been so welcoming.

“I know some of the cast already so I’m sure we’re going to have a lot of fun.”
