Eamonn Holmes has revealed he couldn’t finish his speech at his wedding to Ruth Langsford because he got too choked up.
The Northern Irish presenter, 58, made the admission on Friday’s This Morning, ahead of a phone in about wedding speech fears.
Eamonn, who married co-host Ruth in 2010, said: “I couldn’t complete my speech because I choked up.”
Ruth, 58, confirmed that, saying: “He did, he got very emotional.”

This Morning’s agony aunt, Deidre Sanders, replied: “That’s lovely. A touching and endearing thing abou you.”
But ever-cheeky Eamonn – who was previously wed to Gabrielle – then spoiled the endearing moment by joking of his tears: “It suddenly dawned on me what happened, what I’d got myself into and that was it!”
Eamonn and Ruth wed in Hampshire back in 2010, after 13 years of dating, with their then eight-year-old son Jack in attendance.
At the time, Eamonn told Hello!: “Ruth was the missing jigsaw piece in my life. I was meant to be married. She’s a wonderful mummy to Jack, a fantastic partner both personally and professionally and now, I’m proud to say, she’s my beautiful wife.”

He also tweeted: “Although it was a truly stunningly beautiful day – even the sun was eclipsed by my beautiful bride, who I love even more than before.”
Eamonn has also has children Declan, Rebecca and Niall from his marriage to first wife, Gabrielle.
The phone-in was prompted by Prince Harry choosing his brother Prince William as best man, after he did the best man duties for William back in 2011.
William has now joked he’ll be getting “sweet revenge” on Harry with his speech!
Harry gave the best man speech when William married Kate Middleton seven years ago, and now William will be in charge of the best man speech when Harry weds Meghan Markle next month.
Kensington Palace said on Thursday: “Prince Harry has asked his brother The Duke of Cambridge to be his Best Man at his wedding to Ms. Meghan Markle.
“Prince Harry served as best man to The Duke of Cambridge at his wedding to Miss Catherine Middleton in 2011.
“The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to have been asked, and is very much looking forward to supporting his brother at St George’s Chapel, Windsor on May 19th.”
Harry and former US TV actress Meghan will marry at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday, May 19.
