The sun’s Dan Wotton tweeted that Chloe, 26, should be “embarrassed for letting so many people down and costing a charity thousands” to which Denise, 42, agreed.

Ouch.

However Chloe has defended her decision and claims the rumours are “made up” as she tweeted: “Outrageous on your behalf!! You should get your facts straight before making up stories. Absolutely shocking!”

Despite all the commotion, The Big Breakfast star Denise shared a snap of the cycle and it looks like they are pretty chuffed with their success!

She captioned the picture: “On this day last week our incredible team achieved something amazing. 310K cycle, climbing 5000m in sweltering heat, Kerala India in memory of @nickiwaterman.”
