Dec Donnelly gives baby daughter Isla a shout-out on I’m A Celebrity

It's the first time she's got a mention

I’m A Celebrity fans were delighted as Dec Donnelly have his baby daughter Isla a mention on tonight’s show.

The new dad made a joke about suffering a sleepless night, after Harry Redknapp moaned about his terrible night’s sleep.

Dec quipped: “I know that feeling, folks. No one got a wink of sleep in our hotel room last night.

“Firstly the bedtime milk wasn’t warm enough, then the blanket fell off, then the crying started.

“Worst of all my wife couldn’t hear me. She was busy with the baby.”

Dec and his wife Ali Astall welcomed Isla in September.

The first-time dad broke the news to fans on Twitter.

“Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o’clock this morning,” he wrote.

“Mother and daughter both doing well, Dad is head over heels! D x”

Dec and Ali tied the knot on 1 August 2015 in Dec’s hometown of Newcastle.

The pair married at a stunning church in Elswick while surrounded by their close friends and family.

Dec’s TV pals Holly Willoughby, Dermot O’Leary, Phillip Schofield, Fearne Cotton, Marvin and Rochelle Humes and Vernon Kay and Tess Daly were among the guests at the ceremony.

The presenter’s best pal Ant McPartlin was his best man.

Back in March, Dec confirmed he was to become a dad via Instagram after a newspaper reported Ali was pregnant with their first child.
