"I knew Stephen Paddock as a kind, caring, quiet man," she said in the statement. "I loved him and hoped for a quiet future together with him."

Reportedly, Marilou is in full cooperation with authorities to uncover just why the 64-year-old retired accountant took aim at a crowd of 22,000 concertgoers in Las Vegas.

After shooting for four minutes, 58 people were killed and more than 500 were injured before Stephen took his own life.

Marilou later explained that Stephen wired her money so she could buy a house for her and her family.

He allegedly wired $100,000 to a bank in the Philippines.

Marilou emphatically denied any knowledge of Stephen’s planned massacre.

She voluntarily flew back to the United States because she knew investigators wanted to talk to her and she continues to remain in contact with authorities as they continue to piece the events of the evening together.

The couple lived in Mesquite, Nev.
