Davina McCall thanks fans for Twitter advice after son is diagnosed with possible tick bite

Hurrah for the internet...

Davina McCall has given fans an update on the mystery bite on her son’s leg, after taking him to see a doctor yesterday.

She had previously revealed on Twitter that she’d found a raised red spot on 11-year-old son Chester’s leg, up near the groin area.

But being a Sunday night, no doctor’s surgery was available.

So, the mum of three took to her Twitter account to ask her followers what their opinion was.

While Davina didn’t get a firm diagnosis online, she did get pointed in the right direction, and thanked her followers for their help.

She said: “Love Twitter at times like this … told to see doctor first thing so will do that … pretty sure it’s a tick bite.”

Later, the 50-year-old posted that she had taken her son to the doctors, and that a possible tick bite had indeed been diagnosed.

But she also praised her followers for their help, as well.

Relieved fans sent their best wishes to the star and Chester

Davina has three children with her estranged husband Matthew Robertson, who she split from at the end of last year.

The television presenter ended her 17-year marriage to Matthew in November.

Speaking on This Morning earlier this month, the former Big Brother icon said she would never discuss the separation in public, after she and Matthew agreed to keep things private.

She said: “Just for the record, for our kids’ sake, Matthew and I have both decided we are never going to talk about this.

“We have three kids, who are quite grown up, and we just don’t want to talk about it in the public eye.

“So that’s what we are doing.”
