| Updated:

Davina McCall has responded to critics who said she looked “unhealthy” in her latest bikini snap.

Last week, the TV presenter shared a photo to Instagram showing herself flaunting her abs in a floral two-piece.

Davina, 50, told fans she had “no apologises” sharing the shot because she’s worked hard for it.

The majority of her fans expressed their admiration for Davina and branded her an “inspiration”.

However, some people expressed their concern and said the telly favourite was looking “too skinny”.

Davina has now hit back at the critics, insisting she’s “happy and healthy”.

She wrote on Twitter: “Jesus! Talk about hooha!!! Two pics… same day I chose one on the right coz (sic) I liked my 6 pack but just so you can all calm down here is one without.

“Look at my insta… happy and healthy (sic).”

Of course, fans rushed to offer Davina their support and praised her for hitting back at the critics.

One person said: “You don’t need to justify yourself to anyone @ThisisDavina, it’s people who aren’t happy in their own skin who pass judgement on others.”

Another wrote: “Some people will comment either way – I think you look fab and would love to have your abs!”

“I think you look amazing… fit not skinny!” a third tweeted. “I’d take a guess the negative comments are from people who envy your motivation.”

As fans know, Davina is a hardcore fitness fanatic and often keeps her followers updated with her fitness journey.

Last week, the mum-of-three said she works out three or four times a week for 45 minutes to an hour.

Alongside the bikini snap, Davina wrote: “I cannot quite believe I am posting pictures of myself in bikinis still I get asked all the time how many times I work out a week.”

Although she enjoys working out, Davina said her children are her number one priority.
