David Beckham ‘splashes out £3 million on new business venture’

Wowzers!

David Beckham has reportedly splashed out £3 million on a pub in West London.

The 43-year-old retired footballer and his friend Guy Ritchie – who already owns the Lukin pub in west London and has hit own Gritchie Brewing Company on his farm in Wiltshire – are apparently buying the Walmer Castle in Notting Hill.

According to the Mail on Sunday, a source claims David is planning an extensive redesign of his new business.

The insider said: “He can’t wait to get stuck into making it just as he wants it.”

ED! has contacted representatives for David for comment.

The pub is the latest business venture for David, who has been busy launching his MLS soccer team Inter Miami FC.

And he recently admitted he had “always dreamed” of having his own team in the Florida city.

Meanwhile, last month, the star received the 2018 UEFA President’s Award from UEFA President Alexander Ceferin.

The former England captain – who has four children, Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and seven-year-old Harper, with wife Victoria – attended the UEFA Champions League draw in Monaco alongside his fashion designer wife.

David received the award for his “outstanding achievements, professional excellence and exemplary personal qualities”.

The star was joined by some of his good friends, including Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, retired Brazilian footballer Roberto Carlos, former Real Madrid footballer Kaká and retired footballer Luís Figo.

Earlier in August, it was announced David would be receiving the award, with Aleksander calling the former England captain “a true football icon of his generation”.

Taking to Instagram, David gushed: “Thank you Aleksander for selecting me as the winner of this year’s UEFA President’s Award!

“It’s an honour to be part of such an elite group of players. I look forward to seeing you and receiving the award in Monaco later this month.”
