Rapper Ceon Broughton was in court on Thursday over the tragic death of Louella Fletcher-Michie – daughter of Holby City and Coronation Street actor, John Michie.
Ceon has denied one count of manslaughter and three counts of supplying class A drugs.
The TV star’s youngest child died in September. It is alleged that her boyfriend supplied Louella with the party drug 2CP at the music festival Bestival.
It is then alleged that he failed to get help when she lay dying.
Louella was discovered in secluded woodland near the festival at 1am on September 12.
Her father was on scene with his wife, Carol, having rushed to the festival site at midnight to help search for his youngest daughter.
Ceon, 29, who has recorded tracks with rappers Skepta and Wiley, spoke only once at court, to deny the charges.
Judge Mr Justice James Dingemans set the trial date for 4 February, 2019.
He commented: “What I am going to do is release you on unconditional bail.”
Scottish actor John, 61, who appeared in the latest series of BBC drama Our Girl, has regularly posted pictures of his young daughter since her passing.
Last month he added several shots of the yoga fan, each time with the hashtag #loveforlouella.
He posted a particularly emotional old photo on Father’s Day, showing him with his children when they were little.
Fans commented: “Today must be very tough for you John but know Louella will always be in your heart x.”
Another wrote: “Tough day for you 😢”.

The court case comes a few months after the heartbroken actor announced he would be an ambassador for charity, The Good Grief Project.
It’s an organisation that helps families who are dealing with the death of a loved one – particularly a child.
John said: “When your child dies it is devastating for the family, and in many cases affects people for the rest of their lives.
“It is for this reason I am honoured to become an ambassador for this vital and worthy charity and take part in the Q and A at the London premiere of A Love That Never Dies.”
He attended the UK premiere of A Love That Never Dies, created in association with the charity and directed by husband and wife team Jimmy Edmonds and Jane Harris, who have coped with the loss of a child themselves.
