His message of joy on Facebook also put to bed rumours that he had split from his girlfriend Levi Selby, also 16, once and for all.

It said: “I’m still with my girlfriend, and can’t wait to have my own little family!”

Earlier, he’d written: “For all those wondering, I’m still with my girlfriend Levi, and I honestly cannot wait for my little baby girl to arrive! I cant wait to have my own little family!”

According to The Sun, the young couple are planning to name their firstborn Lydia Rose. Awww.

Levi made the announcement she was expecting on social media at the end of May.

She posted a picture of her 12-week scan… the baby is thought to be due on December 8th.

A source allegedly told the tabloid at the time: “Alex has been telling everyone he’s going to be a father. He isn’t keeping it a secret.

“He’s definitely not ashamed of it. But some people have been saying how young he is to be having a baby.”

It’s thought that Alex and Levi  have been together since April last year. A few weeks ago reports suggested that the actor had parted ways with teenager Levi Selby just a few weeks after it was revealed she was pregnant.

But he quickly dismissed those rumours.
