She was shocked at how inappropriate it was!

Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh has revealed she was once shocked to be asked for a selfie at a friend’s funeral.

“I didn’t even have a moment to say no as the person had jumped in and snapped the picture before I’d even got over the shock of how inappropriate it was!”

The actress, who plays Michelle Connor in Corrie, said she was also once filmed when she was in hospital with her little girl, Polly, seven, who she had with ex-husband Jamie Lomas.

“It was totally weird and I asked them to stop!” she said of the intrusion.

Kym responded to Georgia’s tweet at the time to write: “Oh good god!! X.”

Georgia’s on-screen sister also lent her support with Jane Danson, aka Leanne Battersby, tweeting to reassure her: “You are quite possibly the kindest soul I know. Maybe some people should stop and think how ‘rude’ they are?”

Meanwhile comedian Shappi Khorsandi joined the conversation to say she’d also once been asked for a selfie at a funeral like Kym.
