Coronation Street SPOILER: More misery for Michelle Connor

Oh, someone give that woman a break (or a wine)

The latest twist in the Robert-Rich drug extravaganza in Corrie sees Robert Preston arrested for assaulting his old mate and drug dealer Rich, AKA the man responsible for poor old Ches’ being stuck in hospital. Gah!

And his girlfriend Michelle left behind in tears to pick up the pieces.

The storyline comes after a horror year for Kym Marsh’s character Michelle, who lost her baby and broke up with husband Steve after finding out he had had a baby with Leanne.

And now she thought she’d found happiness with Robert – Michelle! As if! This is a soap! – she’s found herself right in the middle of her boyfriend’s dramas with his former friend.

Rich was using his and Robert’s past connection to persuade him to launder money through the business, and when Robert refused, Rich turned bad.

A few weeks ago an angry Rich turned nasty and ended up stabbing Ches’ when he turned up at the Bistro. Ches’ only woke up from his coma recently and for a while it didn’t look like he would make it.

The storyline looks set to run and run as pictures have been revealed showing Michelle in an altercation with Rich after Robert is arrested.

There are also rumours swirling that Michelle will end up kidnapped in the boot of somebody’s car this summer – and it looks like that’s likely to be drug dealer Rich rather than, say, Norris.

Michelle wrote in her OK! Column recently about the storyline reports and while she didn’t 100% confirm them… well, she might as well have.

“There was a report about my character, Michelle, being kidnapped, gagged and put in a car boot,” she wrote. “I can’t talk about any storylines I’m currently filming, but I am sinking my teeth into some dramatic scenes.”

And while it might be a harrowing time for Kym’s alter-ego on screen, the actress is LOVING her job.

“I’m thoroughly enjoying myself at work at the moment,” she said recently. “They keep challenging me and I’ve got a busy summer, so stay tuned!”

Seriously you don’t have to tell us Kym, we’re obsessed.
