She's going solo!

Coleen Nolan has revealed she’s going solo for the first time ever for a 36-date tour!

The Loose Women star was part of a band, The Nolans, with her sisters Anne, Denise, Maureen, Linda, and Bernie.

She said she’s never had the confidence to go it alone before but now, at 53, she’s ready to hit the stage on her own, after  her life has “changed in so many ways” over the past few years.

In an interview with The Mirror, Coleen said she’s looking forward to going solo and the tour is a “step to being independent for the first time in my life”.

This will be the first time Coleen has performed to the public in the last decade, after performing on stage alongside her sisters Bernie, Maureen and Linda for The Nolans’ 2009 reunion tour.

She told the publication: “I’ve never really had the confidence to do it. I didn’t have the belief in myself.

“The tour is a step to being independent for the first time in my life, and not being the baby.”

Since the tour in 2009, Coleen said her life has “changed in so many ways” with sister Bernie tragically passing away in 2013 following her battle with breast cancer.

Coleen has also split from her husband Ray Fensome, who performed as guitarist in their band, and they are finalising their divorce.

The star added: “I don’t have Bernie and I don’t have Ray. If Bernie was alive, it wouldn’t have ever crossed my mind to do it on my own. We would probably do another Nolans tour.”

Coleen’s news of her solo tour comes just days after she became embroiled in a furious row with Kim Woodburn on Loose Women.

More than 7,000 people have complained to Ofcom over the TV clash last week.

Following the awkward interview, Kim released a statement saying she felt “incredibly sad” and “disappointed” over how the interview panned out.

She claimed she was invited on the show because Coleen wanted to bury the hatchet following their falling out on Celebrity Big Brother last year.

However, a representative for Coleen said it was Loose Women’s producers who set up the meeting, not Coleen, as she has no influence over the choice of guests.

A spokesperson for Loose Women said: “Kim agreed to come onto the panel today at the invitation of the producers on the understanding it was for a reconciliation with Coleen.

“Kim becoming upset was never the intention and the panel did endeavour to comfort her. She was offered counselling after the show, which she declined.”
