ChuckleVision star, 85, marries 26-year-old fan he met on Facebook

Jimmy Patton has found love again

Jimmy Patton has married a woman that is 59 years his junior.

The third Chuckle Brother who starred alongside siblings Barry and Paul in hit kids’ show ChuckleVision, married Amy Phillips at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre on April 15.

Talking of how they met on social media in 2015, Jimmy said: “Amy has been a fan of ChuckleVision all of her life and commented on something I posted.

“It just went from there. I never thought I would find this kind of love again.”

Jimmy popped the question after 18 months of dating.

The older brother of Chuckle Brothers Barry, 71, and Paul 68, was married to first wife Valerie for years, but she passed away nearly seven years ago.

Amy’s mum, Mary, 65, said: “The age gap doesn’t bother them or us at all. It’s love – so it doesn’t matter.”

“Amy is happy and so are we. We are delighted and very proud”, she told The Sun.

She added: “Bobby Dennis the comedian came and so did Bernie Clifton. They are Jimmy’s mates and they both did speeches – they had everyone in fits of laughter.

“She had her best friend as a bridesmaid and maid of honour, she had three little page boys, two of our grandsons along with another family friend.

“They’re off on their honeymoon to Gran Canaria next week. They are away for two weeks. Jimmy loves his holidays, he’s always in the sun.”

Amy’s father, 70, revealed that the newlyweds said their vows in a beautiful lakeside room, and had a meal, did the speeches and “danced to a disco”.

He added: “It was a really happy day. It was quite emotional. Amy looked beautiful. We were very proud.”

Jimmy was a regular on the BBC kids show, alongside his younger brothers, but neither of them attended the wedding.

However, fourth brother Brian, 82, did attend.
