After finding herself the victim of a determined stalker, Christine Lampard has admitted she now only feels safe knowing her mum is watching her every move.

The Loose Women presenter was stalked by Christof King for three years, sending sinister texts and even showing up outside the home Christine shares with her husband, footballer Frank Lampard.

Christof – a 39-year-old aspiring actor – was convicted of stalking, but is currently out on bail as he awaits sentencing, with Judge Robin Johnson claiming he hadn’t ruled out prison time.

Christine said that the conviction came as a relief to her, saying she’s “come out the other end” of the traumatic experience.

But the added comfort of a mother’s watchful eye is helping her stay strong.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Christine said her mum uses an iPhone app to track her movements.

“My mum has Find My Friends on my iPhone so she can keep track of everything I’m doing,” she said.

“I’m 39… if I stay out late she knows about it and where I’ve been. She’s always asking why I stayed out so late.”

Christine came face to face with her stalker in court as he faced charges.

The court heard that Christof had wanted career advice from her, and his obsession had spiralled to a series of sinister and threatening texts.

His messages included one saying “I can hear screeching of the nails as I sharpen them for your crucifixion.”

Christine was driven to hiding in her bedroom terrified, when he showed up at her house.

The conviction came in the nick of time for Christine and Frank – who are getting ready to welcome their first child.

As soon as she found out she was pregnant, the presenter starting giving her body a break – quitting the gym and relying on walking the dog to stay fit.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, she said “I couldn’t care less about putting on weight as long as everything’s OK inside.”
