Cheryl sends fans into a frenzy with huge news

It's not baby number two - it's even better!

| Updated:

Like most Chezza fans, we keep a close eye on her social media pages to keep up with what she’s up to.

And for the longest time, we’ve not heard a peep about the singer getting to work on any new music.

Today, that came to an end, as Cheryl posted a tweet that has caused serious excitement among her fans.

She wrote, in a reply to mega-producers Team Salut: “Thank you for a great session – you guys are amazing.”

So it looks very much like Chezza’s been in the recording studio with some seriously hot production talent.

And if you see who else is mentioned in the tweet, she was accompanied by old Girls Aloud pal Nicola Roberts!

The tweet understandably sent Cheryl’s followers into a frenzy, with one writing: “You disappear for ages then come back n casually mention you’ve been in the studio?? excuse me x”

And another commented: “C5 [referring to Cheryl’s 5th album] IS COMING” alongside a crying, heart and celebration emoji.

There had been zero indication Cheryl was getting ready to record new music – let alone already in the studio!

Team Salut tweeted themselves: “Today’s session has been the highlight of our year.”

The production trio have worked with some of the biggest names in pop in recent years, including Zayn Malik, Rita Ora and Anne-Marie.

Cheryl hasn’t released an album since Only Human, in 2014. During its release, she became the first British female solo artist to bag five number one singles.

But recently she’s been spending her time out of the spotlight, looking after baby Bear, who was born in March this year.

She’s also hotly tipped to make a return to judging on The X Factor, after making a cameo in the Judges’ Houses segment this year.

The next stage will hopefully be the chance to hear some of Chezza’s new music – don’t leave us waiting too long, please!
