Cheryl and Liam ‘running out of time to register baby’s birth’

They only have six days left to do it!

New parents Cheryl and Liam Payne don’t have long to register their son’s name.

According to the law in England and Wales, all babies must be registered within 42 days of birth, meaning the showbiz couple have until Wednesday 3 May.

As the popstars aren’t married, it is crucial that Liam returns to the UK to sign the birth register with his girlfriend, otherwise he won’t be on the birth certificate!

However, it can also be altered. The UK Gov website states: “It might be possible to add the father’s details at a later date by completing an application for the re-registration of a child’s birth.”

Fans of Liam, 23, and Cheryl, 33, are constantly tweeting about their frustration. The entire nation are growing rather impatient.

One social media user said: “still no baby name from liam and cheryl? ok.” [sic]

Offering suggestions for their newborn’s moniker, one said: “Cheryl and Liam should call their baby son Joseph Oscar Payne. Hope they like that name for their son.”

We like it too.

According to William Hill, the top three baby names are Alfie, Harry and Rickie.

Simon even made the list – no doubt due to Chezza’s relationship with Simon Cowell, who appeared on X Factor with her.

Cheryl has previously revealed her “obsession” with babies and told GQ magazine what her favourite name for a baby is.

“I’m obsessed with babies. Of course I’ve thought about baby names. A million times. I like Alfie for a little boy,” the Newcastle-born star said.

While out and about in LA last week, Liam said that he was missing his newborn tot.

Talking to 23-year-old fan Pedro Ramirez, he told him: “He’s great, he’s good. I love him and I miss him a lot”.

AW!

But seriously though… Can you two reveal your son’s name soon please?
