The news of Hollywood’s hottest couple splitting up shocked the entire nation, but is there a chance that they could get back together?

Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight has commented on his daughter’s bombshell divorce from Fight Club actor Brad Pitt.

The 77-year-old actor said that he’s feeling hopeful that the pair can still work things out.

Attending the premiere of J.K Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, he said: “I appreciate everybody’s concern and their prayers.”

He told E! News: “Hopefully things will work out.”

This has all come after Brad, 52, was cleared of child abuse abuse earlier this week.

He stepped out for the first time since splitting from Angelina Jolie in September alongside co-star Marion Cotillard, with whom he stars in new film Allied in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Brad, who looked noticeably slimmer and was without his wedding ring, spent a lot of time signing autographs for his fans.

He told E! News: “It’s really sweet, everyone has been really kind out here.

“It’s really nice to have all the support.”

His red carpet appearance came on the same day the Los Angeles County Department Of Children And Family Services (DCFS) cleared him of child abuse.

There were weeks of extensive investigations into claims he had hit his 15-year-old son Maddox on board a private jet in September while drunk.

Now that the investigation has been closed and he is in the clear, Brad should have a better chance in his custody war with Angelina.
