Celebrity Big Brother’s Casey Batchelor reveals vile trolling during pregnancy

The star has also suffered from nausea and back pain during pregnancy

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Casey Batchelor has opened up about her “tough pregnancy” and vile trolling.

The model, who appeared in the 13th series of CBB in 2014, is nearly eight months pregnant with her first child.

It should be a joyous time but instead Casey, 33, has been subjected to vile comments online commenting on her changing body.

Appearing on Friday’s episode of Loose Women, she said: “I was on holiday and overheard someone say, ‘She’s put on a few pounds since Big Brother.’ I couldn’t even be bothered going over and wasting my time by saying anything.

“The most hurtful comments have been online, really. They have been horrendous. Everyone gets horrendous comments, but when you’re pregnant… I should be harpooned, apparently.”

“Your hormones are everywhere anyway,” she continued. “Let alone getting things like that thrown at you left, right and centre.

“I get, ‘Are you carrying twins?’ Definitely not. ‘Are you sure?’ Yes, pretty sure!

“It’s from women and men. It’s them trolls, isn’t it. They just like to stay behind that computer and do what they want, not realising people have feelings and you do get hurt and it does affect us.

“I think being in this industry you need to have thick skin and you grow a thick skin, but we are people with feelings.”

As well as being targeted with nasty remarks, Casey has also endured a difficult pregnancy.

“I have seven weeks to go,” she said. “Not long now – thank goodness! It’s been quite a tough pregnancy, it’s not been enjoyable. I’ve had everything you can have.

“Not so much sickness, only a couple of times, but constant nausea. I was sick on New Year’s Eve but thought that’s tradition anyway, so that doesn’t matter! Migraines, sciatica. I do a lot of yoga, which has helped massively.

“I haven’t had any cravings but hairspray really makes me heave badly. My partner Dane will go completely into another room to use it!”

Casey announced her pregnancy back in November.

She recently told New magazine she and Dane won’t be finding out the baby’s sex before its birth.

“We’re going to be traditional. If we have any more we’ll find out, but for the first one it’s nice to have a surprise,” she said.

“I’m really happy with either, as I know I want more children.”
