Broadchurch finally starts to narrow down the list of suspects in tonight’s episode – in fact, DI Alec Hardy and DS Ellie Miller have one very specific person in their sights.
As they continue to investigate the brutal rape of Trish Winterman, the list of possible perpetrators seems endless.

They question the huge group one by one, but are no closer to coming up with an answer.
In a new trailer released by ITV, Ellie even says:
“The more we talk to, the more we rule IN.”
It seems like an endless task.
But they do end up hitting on one person, who’s told them a lot of porky pies – taxi driver Lucas.
“Why would you lie about what you were doing?” Hardy asks him. Exactly, what does he have to hide?
He’s definitely not who he says he is, but will he open up and cooperate with the police – or is there something really dark he’s hiding? Did he assault Trish?
Meanwhile Trish at last agrees to see her friend Cath, whose party she was at when she was attacked, but with Cath – and her husband – in the list of potential people who were involved, and both of them acting very shiftily, should Trish really be confiding in her?
And what about Trish’s ex-husband Ian? He’s desperately trying to get rid of something, but what it is – and why – we don’t know. What is he hiding?
He goes to visit Trish, but she refuses to let him in, panicking about the threatening texts she’s been receiving from an unknown number.

Ian then heads off to see Cath’s husband, Jim, at his garage – do these two have a secret they’re hiding together?
If the past has taught us anything, it’s that you can’t live in Broadchurch without having something to hide – so Ellie’s right when she says everyone’s a suspect!
Just who did it? It’s going to be a nail-biting lead up to finding out what really happened.
