British actress turned Hollywood star shares rare glimpse of lookalike daughter

She's definitely a chip off the old block

Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas have always been fiercely protective of their two children,  Carys, 14, and Dylan, 17, and it’s rare of them to share many pics of the family on social media.

Catherine has broken her self-imposed rule lately though to upload some gorgeous  family snaps – including this beautiful shot of Carys at the beach. And commenters couldn’t help but notice the mother and daughter’s stunning resemblance to each other.

The proud mum captioned the arty black and white Instagram pic with the words: ‘Just love grabbing my camera and snapping. Carys at the beach yesterday’.

Catherine, 48, then responded to a fan’s comment by saying ‘She’s just so fun to snap’.

It’s fair to say most of the responses were about the similarities between the pair than Catherine’s (rather good, it must be said) photographic skills.

‘Ready to respond with gorgeous as usual. Thought that was you!’ one fan wrote, while another added: ‘Oh she’s like her mamma!’.

‘I thought she was you. She’s your double,’ another said, while comparisons to Catherine in her Darling Buds of May days were made by another of her followers.

It would appear that Catherine photographed her mini-me during the family’s Thanksgiving break to Bermuda, as just three days before the beach snap, she shared an adorable picture of the entire Douglas-Jones clan seated together outdoors in the sunshine.

Captioning the portrait ‘Happy Thanksgiving from Bermuda’, the image showed Michael, Catherine, Carys and Dylan smiling broadly into the camera.

Catherine and Michael have been an item since 1998, and married since 2000. Their relationship has not been without its traumas though, with Michael having successfully battled tongue cancer, and Catherine having revealed that after Michael’s health woes that she had endured bouts of depression and was bipolar.

The stress of their health worries could have contributed to the pair choosing to live separately in 2013, before moving back in together in 2014. Michael later declared their relationship was ‘stronger than ever’.

The family lived on the British Island territory of Bermuda until 2009, and are now thought to reside in a rural area of New York State.
