Simon Cowell disappointed as One Direction members leave his side

The boys have chosen to work with other labels

He was the man who gave One Direction life, so you can see why Simon Cowell is peed off that they’ve all abandoned him.

The man with the occasional Midas touch says he is disappointed that the members of the super boy band didn’t want to stick with him after the group went on hiatus.

He told reporters in the US: “I hear so many things now, which they’re doing, which I’m not involved with. It’s a bit like I’m getting the hint you don’t want me to come to the party. Sorry for making you famous.’

Ouch!

“Look,” Si went on. “I’m not going to lie when I hear they’re doing something, and they haven’t approached me. You think, ‘Well I would have liked you to,’ but it’s their choice. I’m not bitter – much.”

And it would seem that Simon is particularly peeved at whippet thin heart throb, Zayn Malik.  When asked if he had a hand in Zayn’s new memoir, he replied: “You know what? I genuinely don’t care.”

Hmmm… We wonder if his reaction is anything to do with the fact that the Zaynster didn’t ask him to get involved in his upcoming TV talent show, which is seeking to find members of a new boyband.

“Nothing surprises me anymore,’ Simon sighed. ‘I think he should have come to me with it, if I’m being honest with you. I do actually believe that when they’ve got these ideas, bearing in mind where we started, they should actually come to me.”

But Zayn isn’t the only one in his sights. Liam Payne has also peeved him for signing with rival record label Capitol Records, admitting: “It is a bit annoying if I am honest with you – mainly because it is a another label who has now got your artist who you worked with for so many years.

But that is the music business, unfortunately. I don’t think anyone else from the band will do that.”

Oh dear. Don’t worry, Simon, kids always rebel. They’ll come back to you one day!
