Becky Vardy issues warning after “dangerous” and painful injury at home

Ouch, looks nasty!

Former I’m A Celebrity star Becky Vardy is nursing a painful injury after burning herself on a curling iron.

The mother of four took to Instagram to issue a warning to others after the red hot hair product brushed against her arm and left a nasty mark.

Becky, 35, told followers she’d been trying to style her hair when the curling wand briefly touched her naked skin.

Ouch!

Showing off the raw looking red burn, she said: “Kids…. this is how dangerous a curling wand can be! It touched my skin for less than a second!

“Please take care using these…. so not only can I NOT iron or use a clothes steamer I can’t even curl my hair without hurting myself.”

She added hashtags including “I’m an idiot”.

Becky returned to social media the following day to show fans how much the burn mark had gone down overnight.

“Redness has gone and it’s stopped hurting,” she said.

“Just need to stop it scarring. Thanks so much for the great suggestions #clumsy.”

Meanwhile, the WAG – who is married to England and Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy – also used social media recently to hit back at nasty comments.

The reality star lost her temper after being targeted with cruel comments, seemingly stemming from her recent Loose Women panellist role.

In a lengthy rant to social media, she said: “Okay, so I don’t get it…. why are people so vile? Why make negative and hurtful comments to people you don’t know?”

Becky went on to say that although she’s strong and can handle the comments, they still hurt. And she fears for those who aren’t as strong as she is and may react differently to trolling.

She continued: “One day the person getting abuse could be your mum, sister or family member! Take a minute and ask yourself how you would feel?

“Okay, so I may have a wonky eye sometimes (because of an op I had when I was young) I’m lucky to have my sight still, I may NOT conform to how you expect I should, I’m NOT a super model or actress! I don’t know how to perform to a camera!

“I may not speak how you would like but I am ME! And I’m also human and just sometimes people need to stop and think!

“I’m sick of people thinking it’s okay to be abusive towards someone they don’t know! We need to be setting examples to our children not showing them it’s okay to drag people down.”

Becky signed off her statement with the hashtags “be kind” and “words hurt”.

Well, said Becky.
