Ant and Dec share big news about the SM:TV Live revival

But will it have Wonky Donkey?

Readers of a certain age will have fond memories of tuning in to SM:TV Live on a Saturday morning, back in the late 1990s/early 2000s.

A fresh-faced Ant McPartlin, Declan Donnelly and Cat Deeley would have kids – and the odd hungover parent – in stitches at their antics.

Featuring brilliant sketches and the irresistible banter that made Ant and Dec the kings of Saturday telly, SM:TV Live was ITV’s biggest Saturday morning hit since TISWAS.

They’ve been promising us a reunion for a little while now, and they’ve finally revealed some juicy details about exactly when it’s coming.

And, as was revealed over the summer, even former presenter Cat Deeley will be coming back from the USA to take part!

Ant told the Radio Times: “We can tell you it’s happening, it’s definitely happening, I’m on board, Dec’s on board, Cat’s on board.

“A lot of the old team are getting back together. I think we’ve just booked a studio, I think we’ve got some writers involved.”

Dec added: “We’re starting to put the little nuts and bolts together, it’s very exciting, it looks like it’ll be probably about September time.”

As for Cat, she told RadioTimes.com previously that she’s hoping fans up and down the country will be excited to see the programme come back.

She’s even hoping people sit around in big groups in their pyjamas, tuck into a huge breakfast and watch the show.

Sounds alright to us!

We still have a million and one questions – will C.H.U.M.S return? Is Dec still obsessed with the beautiful, beautiful Corrs? Will they still broadcast new episodes of Pokemon?

It’s going to be a long wait ’til September to find out!
