Anna reportedly made a remark about Jana that garnered a mixed reaction from fans during an episode of Counting On.
Still single at the age of 27, along with twin brother John-David, Jana is an anomaly in a family that prizes young marriage and parenthood.
Women, in particular, are given limited choices in the Duggar clan.
Jana has been such an encouragement and such a rock this past year of my life. She is such a treasure~
Although they can have outside interests, they are not allowed to work outside the home unless they are with other family members.
In addition, they are encouraged to “pray” for the right person to come along and court them, resulting in marriage and children.
Due to the fact that Jana is always around as a mother-figure to the younger children and her other siblings, she serves as a steadfast source of support to the clan.
Because of this, Anna stated in the series, “Jana has been such an encouragement and such a rock this past year of my life. She is such a treasure.”
She then added, “Selfishly, for right now, I’m so thankful that I’ve had her as just a shoulder to cry on. Someone to just laugh with, cry with, pray with. She’s such a treasure.”
Anna has had to deal with a lot in the past three years of her marriage to Josh.
It was revealed that he molested three of his sisters and a babysitter when he was just 13-years-old.
He then was outed by the website Ashley Madison as having an account on the website where married people hook up for sex outside of marriage.
Finally, he admitted to having an addiction to pornography.
After submitting to six months in a counseling and treatment center, Josh reunited with Anna and their four children.
The couple recently welcomed their fifth child this summer.
