Alesha Dixon reveals not a day goes by without her ‘longing’ for another baby

But she's VERY philosophical about it all...

She’s already a very proud mama to her gorgeous four-year-old daughter Azura, but Alesha Dixon has revealed she would love to extend her brood.

The 39-year-old singer and TV personality told the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine that not a day goes by without her ‘longing’ to have another child – but that she fears her age could be against her.

“I don’t know whether it will happen given my age, but I adore the idea of having a large family and I hope that I will be lucky,” she told the magazine.

“The love I feel for Azura is so pure and unconditional that I still stop and catch my breath in awe that (my partner) Azuka and I have created this perfect little human being.

“The main thing is to enjoy her in the present and be philosophical about the future, because what will be will be.”

Speaking out to publicise her latest venture – a children’s book called Lightning Girl Alesha revealed that being a mum was her “greatest joy and biggest challenge” and that having her little girl had made her a “better person”.

Alesha has been with her partner Azuka Ononye since 2010. She was previously married to So Solid Crew rapper MC Harvey.

She said that she loves watching Azuka and Azura together, and seeing the “wonderful bond” between them “growing stronger every day”.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge previously told reporters in 2015 that she was starting to feel broody, telling The Sun: “I definitely want more children. Not immediately, because I have a few more life goals I want to achieve but sometime.”

She echoed that in an interview with Closer magazine just last year.

Alesha said: “Some days I think I’d like a sibling for Azura and then some days I’m not sure. I’m really content with one, but if two happens then that would be lovely as well.”

As for whether she and Azuka will walk down the aisle, she added: “I wouldn’t rule out marriage. Maybe one day. We’ve been together for seven years so I’ve thoroughly checked him out!”
