Alan Sugar came in for an online roasting after he criticised Susanna Reid’s fashion choice for Good Morning Britain earlier today.
The Apprentice boss fired off a tweet in the direction of Susanna and her co-host Piers Morgan while watching the ITV show this morning to complain her “psychedelic” stripy dress was giving him a headache.
Fans were stunned by the Lord’s cheeky style appraisal, with many suggesting his sight was faulty and he “needs to go to Specsavers”.
By contrast, a further dig at Piers’ sartorial elegance went largely ignored.

Sugar tweeted: “Piersy can you tell @susannareid100 her psychedelic dress is making the tv screen pulsate and giving me a migraine.”
He continued: “Your tie is a very bland contrast.”
Incredulous viewers were quick to take a pop at the Amstrad founder, suggesting he might wish to get his own fashion house in order first.
“Lord Sugar, you wore a brown suit with a green shirt and tie the other week on apprentice,” tweeted one observer.

They continued: “You looked like a mint chocolate. Glass houses and stones springs to mind.”
Another noted, sarcastically: “Looking forward to seeing you take over the fashion section on the @lorraine show soon.”
GMB’s social media team also noticed Sugar’s slight, and tweeted about it to the programme’s near 400,000 followers.
But not everyone disagreed with Lord Sugar’s style verdict.

“Have to agree – I can’t cope with those stripes this early in the morning!” said one viewer.
“Had to turn over from BBC to check – you’re right!” added another.
A third concluded: “She’s gone back to the 70’s.”
Despite being tagged into Sugar’s original tweet, Susanna chose not to respond directly to the jibe on social media.
She did however retweet GMB’s tweet and another message of support comparing her dress to a 1980s computer game character.

Piers did not react to the remark about his tie, either – the former journalist was already busy insisting to Sugar he deserves to be Prime Minister.
