Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas has shared a moving message about wife Caroline and their son Teddy.
The actor, who played Adam Barton on the ITV soap, posted a cute family photo to Instagram while lamenting how much he misses Caroline and Teddy, who are on holiday.
He told fans: “Okay, so these 2/3 get back off there hols tomorrow and I literally can’t wait!! Been so long and missed them like crazy! Been home alone for a full week and one thing I’ve realised that my house is not a home without my lil family in it…
“Forget all the TVs and all the material [bleep] you put in it… it’s the noise, the smells, the nagging haha, all the little things you don’t quite appreciate until it’s gone but it’s all those things and lots more for me that make my home a home.

“I am so lucky and grateful to have the family I’ve got and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I can’t wait to have you all back… for at least a week anyway.”
Caroline and Teddy, three, flew to Spain last week while Adam was over in Los Angeles.
The family of three are about to become a family of four, as Caroline is pregnant with her and Adam’s second child.
They’ve already revealed it will be a baby girl, posting a video to Instagram on Christmas Day showing them popping a gender reveal balloon and being showered in pink confetti!

Writing in her latest OK! magazine column, Caroline said: “I am so excited to meet my baby, although like any parent I do have some worries.
“With Ted now, he just tells me when he’s hungry or needs something. I’m not sure I remember how to look after a baby! But being a parent is always a learning curve.
“I’ve got such a close bond with Ted and and he’s so good that I want to make sure I’ve still got plenty of time for him when the baby comes.”
The couple, who married last year, announced their pregnancy in an interview with OK! magazine in December.

Adam quit his role in Emmerdale in 2017 after eight years on the soap, with his final scenes airing at the start of January.
He appeared in I’m A Celebrity in 2016, where he finished in third place.
