Drama has been following Adam Thomas outside of his latest acting gig, as he got stuck in a lift for three hours on the way to rehearsals!
The former Emmerdale actor, who has been preparing to star in a production of Nativity! The Musical, was held up in the tiny space with his new co-stars as they attempted to head to their rehearsal.
The 30-year-old shared his predicament with fans and wrote on his Instagram Story: “When you get stuck in a lift on way to rehearsals… for 3 hrs!”
If that wasn’t stressful enough, the unfortunate incident happened on the show’s opening day!
After a painstaking wait, the group was finally released by the fire service, with Adam sharing another snap of the rescue operation to his social media and captioning it with: “The show must gooo on @nativityuk”.

And what a show it was!
Adam was flooded with congratulations and compliments from people who watched the opening night.
The show’s creator, Debbie Isitt, added: “I am in AWE of my Nativity cast who spent several hours stuck in a lift before the show in Liverpool! Including the fabulous Adam Thomas. They all totally smashed the performance for the over 1000 patient people in the audience. Love & respect.”

Adam previously revealed his excitement at playing the role of ‘The Hollywood Producer’ in the new production.
He posted to Instagram: “Can’t wait for this !!!! Liverpool 31st – 4th November make sure you get your tickets people !! Christmas starts now !!! Let’s gooo @nativityuk @liverpool_empire.”
The soap star will play the role in Liverpool until November 4 and in Stoke from December 5 to 8.
Yesterday, the dad-of-two shared an adorable picture with his children to promote the show, by carving the play’s name into a pumpkin for Halloween!

He has son Teddy, three, and five-month-old daughter Elsie-Rose with his wife, dance school owner Caroline Daly.
Caroline marked Adam’s opening night by saying on Instagram: “Wishing my @adamthomas21 all the luck in the world today… his debut in @nativityuk so so proud of you!!! We can’t wait to see it!! Love you all the world, big good luck kisses from your home fan club.”
Adam, who married his partner Caroline last year, also recently addressed rumours that he will reprise his role as Adam Barton in Emmerdale.
He teased earlier this month: “No, I’m not going back to Emmerdale. Not yet, anyway.”

Adam left the iconic show last year, after starring in the ITV soap for eight years.
His character is currently on the run after confessing to the murder of Emma Barton.
