VERY familiar face confirmed for major Casualty comeback!

Will it be good or bad news for Dylan?

| Updated:

With the constant worry hanging over our heads this week that Lily has been killed off in Casualty, it’s good to hear about a welcome return.

Dylan’s ex-wife Sam will make a comeback later in the year, according to the show’s boss Erika Hossington.

Interestingly she will not be joined by her new husband Tom, who she left with in 2013, in anticipation of a new life.

The whys and wherefores of that significant change in set-up are not being revealed, but Hossington has said: “Tom isn’t returning.

“We will find out what’s happened with him and why she’s come back.

“We know fans loved Charlotte first time round, so it seemed worth asking her. We’re excited she said yes.”

Charlotte Salt, who plays her, is delighted to be returning and has said: “I’m thrilled to be back with the gang at Holby!

“Sam was always such a kick-ass female role so it’s really exciting to be telling her story again.”

Series Producer Hossington added: “Charlotte starts shooting scenes at the end of May.

“She will be interacting with her ex-husband Dylan Keogh, and Iain, who she also has history with.

“She wont be be in the guise you’re used to seeing her in, but I can’t say anymore than that!’

Grrrr, these Casualty bosses love to keep viewers hanging.

We’re already waiting, nerves frayed, to find out the fate of Dr Lily Chao.
