This Morning viewers annoyed by “scaremongering” guest

Dr. Sally Leivesley sparked a huge row on Twitter

Viewers have shared their disgust on Twitter after This Morning aired a discussion with a “repulsive” guest.

Holly Willoughby and Rylan Clark-Neal sat down with presenter Alice Beer and terror expert Dr. Sally Leivesley.

They were on the show to talk about the aftermath of the Manchester attack on Monday, which left 22 people dead, and a further 119 are injured.

Some viewers accused Sally of scaremongering and “giggling” during the sensitive topic.

Holly and Rylan asked Sally how people can try to protect themselves.

Sally said that parents should teach their children how to spot terrorist behaviour, and that if they see somebody with a suitcase or backpack then they should run.

Most said how “uncomfortable” they felt watching the segment.

One said that he “shouldn’t haven’t to explain” to his child on how to spot a terrorist.

The show also caused concern after an interview with a Manchester family, who had been at the Ariana Grande gig.

It was branded insensitive to put an upset family with two children live on air so soon after Monday’s traumatic attack.

Holly and Rylan looked visibly upset and said they couldn’t even imagine how tough it was for them.
