This Morning viewers DISGUSTED as school asks for proof of bullying

Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were visibly upset by story of 12-year-old girl

The first segment on This Morning certainly stirred viewers after a 12-year-old opened up about her bullying ordeal.

Schoolgirl Amy sat down to speak to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and said that she was once “pushed up against a wall and left lying in a park”.

Phil and Holly couldn’t quite believe their ears as their young guest and her mum revealed her school did nothing about it.

Poor Amy said that she “felt really left out and alone” with no one to talk to.

Amy’s mum revealed that she became aware of her daughter’s bullying when she found drawings in her room.

She told the hosts: “I found pictures of her with knives to her throat and of her own gravestone. She was coming home from school and going to her room crying.”

Most shocking of all, Amy tried to tell her school about what was happening, but they were – allegedly – no help to her.

Amy claimed that they couldn’t do anything as she “didn’t have any proof” and was told “to go away”.

Twitter users had A LOT to say on that matter.

One angry viewer wrote: “Disgusting you’ve got to go on #thismorning just to get the school to listen to a child about bullying.”

One said: “The headteacher is so ignorant, “you don’t have any proof” hope she’s watching holding her head in shame #thismorning”

Another commented on how “schools are more interested in protecting their rep rather than the welfare of it’s students. #ThisMorning ” (sic)

Adults who were bullied in school also took to the social media platform as it was a subject close to their hearts.

One said: “#ThisMorning anti bullying campaign is an inspiration I was bullied in school more people need to know the dangers of bullying.”

A mum said: “My daughter was bullied in school & the school were worse than useless…schools need to be doing more #ThisMorning

An upset fan of This Morning said: “I was bullied at secondary school. Hearing these stories 22 years later brings tears to my eyes.” (sic)
