The X Factor and The Voice in scrap to sign up Cheryl!

Let the war begin

He might have just waged a war between the talent shows, as Will.i.am wants Cheryl to be a judge on The Voice, despite the fact Simon Cowell apparently wants her for this year’s X Factor.

It’s rumoured that Simon is trying to win her over with a big six figure deal, but it hasn’t been confirmed whether Cheryl will definitely return to The X Factor.

A source told the Daily Star: “Simon wants to pull out all the stops for this year’s show and bagging Cheryl’s long-awaited return to telly would be one of his top wishes.”

But he might have to put up a fight because Cheryl’s close friend, judge of The Voice Will.i.am wants her to sit next to him on one of those big red chairs.

He told The Daily Star: “It would be dope to have Cheryl on The Voice.

“That would be cool. It would be pretty cool for us to work together.”

Will hinted that he was addressing Voice bosses when he said: “Someone should do that.

“She would be awesome on The Voice she would be right at home. It’s her type of thing actually.”

Well, watch this space and we’ll see who manages to win Cheryl over!

As all the judges for the next X Factor are lined up, it’s rumoured that she could be a mentor in the judges’ houses phase of the competition.

But an X Factor spokesperson said: “No decisions have been made as yet with regards to the mentors for judges’ houses. This report is merely very premature speculation.”

Whichever one she chooses it will be good to see Cheryl on TV again, as she has resigned herself from the limelight since becoming a mum.

The former Girls Aloud singer, 34, gave birth to baby Bear Payne in March and has posted only a handful of social media snaps since.

She and former One Direction member Liam Payne have teased fans with a cute selfie here and there, and even one of their adorable baby Bear.

Whichever talent show manages to win Cheryl, it’ll be her first telly debut since becoming a mum. Aaw!
