The Chase viewers now accuse Bradley Walsh of fixing the show

The audience does love a conspiracy theory

Another week, another accusation that The Chase is fixed.

We take it all with a pinch of salt, but the Twitterati don’t half love a conspiracy theory.

This time the host himself Bradley Walsh has been placed in the frame.

Yes, apparently something he did on the most recent show – according to the slurs – was intentionally swaying the outcome.

And what might that misdemeanour be? He was reeeeeeeadddiiiiinnnnng tttthhhhheeeee quuuuuuesssstiiooonss toooo ssslloooooooooowwllyyy.

Did you get that? Reading the questions too slowly, yes!

As contestant Sarah took on Chaser Anne Hegerty, Bradders began the Cash Builder round questions.

Some viewers accused him of posing the teasers at a criminally leiasurely pace.

As Sarah managed to secure just £3,000, some blamed it on his slow delivery.

One viewer posted: “Bradley says the questions a lot quicker for the chaser.”

One wrote: “Tell you what, I could have asked those questions quicker and I have a stammer!!!!”

Another added: “Could Bradley Walsh ask the questions for the cash builder any slower?”

We do love how passionate the audience gets over this show. And it makes a change for Bradley to be getting it in the neck – normally the Chasers are accused of favouritism.

The viewers do enjoy a good laugh with the show, too.

Earlier this week, many were in hysterics as the names of one team of contestants were announced.

They were called Rachael, Ross, Phoebe and Joe –  which are all major characters in sitcom Friends. Okay, nearly – Joe is basically Joey!

Seemingly unaware of the coincidence host Bradley Walsh proceeded with the show.

But people tuning in at home immediately pointed out the hilarious ‘coincidence’.

One amused fan wrote: “This is what the characters from Friends are up to now. Feel old yet? #TheChase.”

Another said: “Is it the cast of friends on #thechase Rachael, Ross, Phoebe and Joe?”

“Anyone else notice that the contestants had the same names as the characters in Friends?!? #TheChase,” a third added.

A fourth tweeted: “Chandler and Monica must’ve been busy #thechase.”

The show even dropped in a Friends related question making viewers wonder further whether bosses had contrived the entire thing.

One viewer said: “LOL there was a question about Friends in the Final Chase on an episode with contestants Joe, Ross, Phoebe and Rachel? #TheChase #Hmmm.”
